Tools used in the eighth step of qin making process

Tool and material used in the eighth step of qin making process - lacquering:
(1) Raw lacquer – the protective layer for the qin’s surface
(2) Cloth ball – made of cotton fibres rolled into the shape of a ball and wrapped in silk. Dip it into raw lacquer and apply onto the surface of the qin.
