The Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts, c. 1991

To support the performing arts education and to celebrate its centenary, The Hong Kong Jockey Club provided funding of HK$300 million to build The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. The academy building was erected at the Tamar site in Wan Chai . In September 1985, a complete arts facility and education centre was officially opened and handed over to the Government.
