- Anita Mui red flaring dress set with golden threads and rhinestones (2)
This is the outfit Eddie Lau designed for the opening section of the concert 'Anita Classic Moment Live 2003', which was the singer's final performance. Anita regretted never having worn a wedding gown of her own, and here she declared that she had always been married to the stage. Eddie decided on a high-quality Chinese wedding gown in a Western style for her, and she stunned the audience with her beauty as she made her entrance.
- Anita Mui white wedding gown (2)
This is the wedding gown that Eddie Lau designed for Anita for the close of her concert 'Anita Classic Moment Live 2003'. Simple, yet elegant, it presented a stark contrast with the dramatic strength of the red and gold Chinese wedding gown that she wore in the opening section. Eddie rarely designed wedding gowns for clients; the first one he created for an artist was in 1988 for Michelle Yeoh when she married Dickson Poon. But this time he designed a wedding gown for Anita to realise her wish to get married to music and the stage. Singing Song of Sunset, she walked across the stage and up the steps at the back, the 20-metre train stretching out behind her, until she finally turned to bid farewell. This scene left a memorable impression forever in the minds of the audience.
- Anita Mui and Eddie Lau in a group working photo after completion of the shooting
In 1992, a group photo was taken after completion of the shooting of publicity photos for the album cover of The Legend of Pop Queen and Anita Mui's farewell concert. This was the first time Anita and Eddie were in a group working photo and thus it is very precious.
- Roman Tam silver outfit with a long train (2)
Roman Tam and Eddie Lau became friends long before they ascended to fame. In that time Eddie designed a number of stage outfits for Roman. He created this silver outfit with a long train for his close friend's farewell concert Roman Tam's Glorious Stage in 1996. Roman once explained that the best thing about this design was the appropriately tailored bodyhugging fit. Every evening, Eddie waited backstage to iron the outfit, tidy up the bow and neatly lay out the long train for Roman.
- Denise Ho stage outfit for 'HOCC Live in Unity 2006 Concert' (2)
Eddie Lau created this stage outfit for Denise's 'HOCC Live in Unity 2006 Concert' based on the Western-styled Chinese wedding gown 'Continuation of Love', the final costume that he had designed for Anita Mui in 2003. Wearing one high heel shoe to express feminine beauty and one tall boot side to show the strength of rock and roll, Denise wore this outfit to sing You are the 80s, I am Barbie doll and Sexy glows.
- William So stage outfit for the opening of the 'William So Live Concert 2011' (2)
Designed by Eddie Lau for William to wear during the opening of the 'William So Live Concert 2011', this stage outfit adopted the tailoring of the tuxedo, the long sleeves and train of the kimono and dragon embroidery on luxurious silk to demonstrate William's mastery as king of the stage. Another major feature was the three-dimensional wavy neckline created using 20 yards of fabric.
