The Morse Park open-air theatre with a specially built auditorium was opened on 9 December, for a series of variety shows to be held for the 1969 Festival.

- Festival Press Release: Fung Po Po and Joe Junior in Festival of Hong Kong Kiosk
Actress Fung Po Po and singer Joe Junior joined the 1969 Festival Kiosk, located at the Kowloon Star Ferry Concourse near Star House on 28 November, 1969.
