  • Kowloon Grand Procession for the Festival of Hong Kong 1969 - band music
    The Grand Procession was held on 15 December 1969 along Nathan Road. The programme included a parade of traditional Chinese decorations, dragon dance, lion dance, musich and dancing performances and a parade of floats. The photo shows the float of A.S. Watson and Co. Ltd, named ”Happy Times”, with a band playing electronic musical instrument on the float.

The event was sponsored by Seven Up Beverages Company Limited and the clothes were provided by seven fashion companies, including day wear, cocktail wear, evening wear, formal dress, evening fur wear, leather wear, sportswear, trendy knitwear, and designs from Paris and New York. The four-day show attracted several thousand spectators.
