The concerts were held at the City Hall Concert Hall on 9 December 1969 and Diocesan Girls' School on 13 December 1969. The concerts were organized by the Hong Kong Electric and Musical Industries Ltd and sponsored by Tom Lee Piano Co., Ltd. and Seven Up Beverages Company Limited. The admission ticket price was one dollar, the number of spectators was more than 2,000. The performers included Wei Xiuxian, Tsui Ping, Billie Tam, Chang Loo, Betty Chung, Tsin Ting, Margaret Lee and Hung Chung. Seen in the photo is the concert on 9 December at the City Hall.

Two concerts by a number Mandarin Chinese singers of the record label EMI were held to celebrate the Festival: the first was held on 9 December 1969 at the City Hall Concert Hall, the other on 13 December at Diocesan Girls' School. The total audience numbered more than 2,000. The event was sponsored by Seven Up Beverages Company Limited. Proceeds from ticket sales were donated to the Community Chest of Hong Kong. The performers included Wei Xiuxian, Tsui Ping, Billie Tam, Chang Loo, Betty Chung, Tsin Ting, Margaret Lee and Hung Chung, with James Wong as the host. A similar show was held in the 1971 Festival of Hong Kong.
