  • Waterfront of Central District
    The waterfront of Hong Kong Island at Central District offers a range of architectural styles. The Bank of China Tower looms over the Hotel Furama Kempinski Hong Kong, next to which stands the Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong Hotel. The headquarters of the Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation (right) is one of the territory's finest examples of modern architecture.
  • Hongkong and Shanghai Bank Building, Central District
    The Hongkong and Shanghai Bank Building at 1, Queen's Road Central, was inaugurated in 1886. The main feature of the design was the division of the structure into two almost separate buildings. On Queen's Road Central was its Victorian style with the colonnade and the octagonal dome whereas the arcade which harmonized with the adjacent buildings was constructed on Des Voeux Road.
