  • Empress Hotel, Tsim Sha Tsui
    Built in the 1960s, Empress Hotel was located at 17-19 Chatham Road South, Tsim Sha Tsui. The hotel was redeveloped into the present-day Empress Plaza in 1993.
  • Regal Airport Hotel, Kowloon City
    Opened in 1982, Regal Airport Hotel (renamed as Regal Oriental Hotel in 2002) is located at 30-38 Sa Po Road, Kowloon City. The new Regal Airport Hotel was opened in 1999 at Chek Lap Kok.
  • Hyatt Regency Hong Kong, Tsim Sha Tsui
    Hyatt Regency Hong Kong (previously called President Hotel) was located at 67 Nathan Road, Tsim Sha Tsui. It was opened in 1969 and closed in 2006. The hotel was redeveloped into the present-day iSquare in 2009. The new Hyatt Regency Hong Kong was opened in 2009 at Hanoi Road, Tsim Sha Tsui.
  • The Peninsula Hong Kong, Tsim Sha Tsui
    The Peninsula Hong Kong is located at Salisbury Road, Tsim Sha Tsui. It was opened in 1928. In 1994, an extension was added to the original hotel in the form of a 30-storey tower.
  • Waterfront of Central District
    Some of the well-known buildings which form Hong Kong Island's harbourfront are the Mandarin Hong Kong (far left), Connaught Centre (left) and Exchange Square (centre).
  • Hotel Miramar, Tsim Sha Tsui
    Hotel Miramar is located at 118-130 Nathan Road, Tsim Sha Tsui. It was opened in 1957 and was renamed as The Mira Hong Kong in 2009 after a complete renovation.
  • Pedder Street, Central District
    The building in the centre was built in 1904 and became known as Union Building in 1921. It was demolished in 1950 and was redeveloped to Swire House in 1962. Swire House was subsequently demolished in 1998 and was redeveloped into the present-day Chater House in 2003. Hongkong Hotel on the right was opened in 1868. The site now stands the Gloucester Tower.
  • Chater Road, Central District
    The Jardine House, rebuilt around 1908, is at the centre. The site now stands the Wheelock House. Hongkong Hotel is on the left and Union Building is on the right.
  • Central District and Victoria Harbour
    Hongkong Hilton Hotel (site of the present Cheung Kong Center) is near the bottom right. The old Hongkong and Shanghai Bank Building can be seen near the centre.
