This structure, originally called Headquarter House, was completed just prior to Murdoch Bruce's drawing of it. Long known as Flagstaff House, because the British flag flew from its staff, it is now the oldest residential structure on Hong Kong Island and is the home, since 1984, of the Flagstaff House Museum of Tea Ware.
