The Shaolin 36th Chamber), released in Hong Kong on 2 February 1978, was directed by Lau Kar Leung and produced by Shaw Brothers (Hong Kong) Limited. The film won the Best Martial Arts Award at the 24th Asian Film Festival. Halfway through the trailer, Gordon Liu (as Liu Yu-te, aka San Te) clashes with enemies using staff, sansetsukon, etc. and wielding the crescent spade near the end.
