Nam Pak Hong Street in Sheung Wan
This photograph of Bonham Strand West in Sheung Wan was taken in May 1935. The street is packed with Nam Pak Hong merchants and was also known as Nam Pak Hong Street. "Nam Pak Hong" referred to trading companies that specialised in the trading of native products between northern and southern China, and also in the trading of herbal medicines and dried seafood between China and Southeast Asia.
