Hing Loong 's Ginger Factory

Hing Loong's Ginger Factory. The Factory was established in the 1900s in Des Veoux Road West. The ginger was imported from Canton and the finest ginger was preserved for export. The finest preserved ginger was packed in heavy stone jars and exported to Europe, America and Australia. Ginger of less good quality was sold in the local market. The factory also produced chowchow and cumquat of the finest quality. In busy seasons, it employed hundreds of men for production.
