Interior of a Mark I block in Lok Fu Estate

Although these early resettlement blocks were originally intended as a temporary measure to meet a serious emergency, the majority of these blocks were not redeveloped for around three decades. In the case of these blocks in Lok Fu, they even survived until the early 1990s.
