Castle Peak Monastery
In AD 428, the Buddhist saint Bei Du made a visit to Castle Peak in Tuen Mun, and the Bei Du Monastery was built later in memory of him. During the reign of Daoguang in the Qing Dynasty, this monastery was rebuilt into Ching Wan Koon. During the reign of Guangxu in the Qing Dynasty, Huang Gu (or Lian Ci) built a hut in this place. It was not until 1917 when the Buddhist master Xian Ji built the Castle Peak Monastery.
