The Bells Of Death
Brigands Tso Ching Lung, Ying Tien and Yang Kang ransack Wei Fu’s home, abducting his sister and killing everyone else. To mark the tragedy, Wei wears round his neck bells left behind by his mother and sets out to seek his three foes.Having sharpened his swordsmanship to near perfection, Wei arrives in Chi Erh during the course of his travels. There he meets and routs several ruffians attempting to recapture Hsiang Hsiang, and escaping prostitute. The girl had been forced into the trade by brothel owner Tao Kung Chuan, who slew her father. The sympathetic Wei takes the poor girl to an inn.Wei later encounters Yang at Tao’s brothel and mortally wounds him. The dying Yang reveals Ying’s whereabouts and Wei disposes of his second enemy easily. Now only Tso remains. Wei overhears four of Tso’s men at an inn discussing plans to release their jailed colleagues. He manages to infiltrate the gang by having himself imprisoned after killing the four men and assisting Tso’s successful jail break.The bandits hold a celebration at their headquarters. Wei challenges Tso to a duel after beating the other men in a wrestling contest. Tso’s suspicions are further aroused when Wei’s sister Yun, now a concubine of Tso’s, appears on the scene.Discovering Wei is Yun’s brother come for revenge, Tso seizes the initiative.
