Scared, they try to run away, but they are chased and caught by the populace, and beaten up. They are forced to parade the streets, carrying the corpse. Later on, a sick fat girl named Liu Tai asks them to give her medical treatment. Hua is willing, but Erh Hu Tzu restrains him, remarking, “If we have a repetition of the last mishap, then I can’t carry this fat corpse; she would be too heavy for me”.
