The Scandalous Warlord
"In the Chinese Revolutionary Period, there were many Warlords occupying different parts of China in the north. They possessed large troops of army and declared themselves as the in-charge of their demilitarised areas. As these warlords proclaimed themselves to be the righteous, impartial and intelligent rulers but, in fact, most of them were from the rural classes with little education. Therefore, there arouse many funny incidents for instance, Warlord Fung was one of the examples. The secretary of Warlord Fung informed the latter that taxations could not be derived from the prostitutes as they were not well registered. So, the Warlord made an investigation into the largest brothel of the town and there, he met the Warlord of the north, Warlord Wu, who was dating a famous prostitute who later became the concubine of Warlord Fung.In fact, the Warlord wished to be famous for his impartialness, righteousness and wisdom, especially in the detrimental to moral cases. Coincidently, there happened a raped case in which the lady – Ngan Bo – prosecuted her brother-in-law who raped her by force. Warlord Fung, by his wisdom, punished the defendant – Mui Yau Sum – for forty paddles on his back-side. Ngan Bo was put aside by her husband but was compensated with two hundred gold dollars by Warlord Fung who, in fact, had an intension. As the Warlord knew Ngan Bo’s sister Kim Bo was a prostitute and Ngan Bo had to reside with her, so, Ngan Bo would reside in the brothel as well and he might visit them at his leisure. In another case, the concubines of Warlord Fung made love to his following officers on the birthday of his father. One couple even wished to escape from his ruling area but was discovered by the Warlord who then ordered immediate arrest of the two. As they were brought to his presence, the concubine protested that she often felt lonely which inspired her to run away with her lover. The Warlord, feeling guilty of self-consciousness, pitied on his concubine and excused her. He further declared to his other concubines that they would be excused provided they had found their true lovers and promised them their marriage. Thus, many couples revealed their secret affairs. The Warlord even resembled the Holy father who in-charged of the marriage ceremony. Immediate after the marriage ceremony, the Warlord ordered every bridge entered a private room in which he impured them and gave every bridegroom a color hat afterwards. In the end, the army of the Warlord mutinied against him who was later shot dead. In fact, it was not until the Northern Expedition that all warlords of China were excavated.1979 | |
