Whilst searching for his missing father Pai Chen-tung, swordsman Pai Yu-lung comes across and befriends Wei Chin-feng, daughter of Beggar’s Gang leader An Lo-tien. The two spend a year together on the quest and later marry.Shortly after, Yu-lung is kidnapped and the Golden Sword, missing since the disappearance of his father, is left behind by the abductors. It’s the work of the Dragon Gate Palace swordswomen, whose leader is Lung Hsien-tzu, Yu-lung’s mother.Wei sets out to rescue her spouse. Meanwhile, Yu-lung escapes from his captors but is subsequently waylaid. Lung Hsien-tzu makes an eleventh hour appearance to save her son and return him to his waiting wife.The rules of the Dragon Gate Palace stipulate that no male is allowed on the premises. It was because of this that Pai Chen-tung had spirited his infant son away from his mother. Lung Hsien-tzu now resolves to end the cruel prohibition. She commits suicide, letting her blood spill on the regulations inscribed on a tablet and revoking them instantly.
