In 1973, Sek Kin, then aged 61, was invited by Bruce Lee to play the villain Han in Enter the Dragon. Their final duel takes place in a mirror chamber inside Han’s private arsenal. There, Sek charges at Lee with his iron claws and tasselled spear while attempting to confuse Lee with the multiple mirrors inside the chamber. Lee smashes the mirrors, revealing the ‘real Han’ and finally defeats him.
It was the first and only face-off between the two martial arts masters on the screen. As Sek Kin recalled, he had an off-screen ‘martial arts exchange’ with Bruce Lee during the filming of Enter the Dragon (1973). At first, they only exchanged fake parries but as he got into it, Lee made a real move. He reacted instinctively, dealing Lee a single blow that knocked him to the ground.
This exhibition displayed two of the weapons which Lee and Sek regularly trained with.
