- The Happy Valley Racecourse, 1969
A view of the Happy Valley Racecourse in 1969; from left to right, the five blocks are the Public Stand II and I, Members Stand I, II, and III. These five buildings were built between 1955 and 1968; four of the five buildings were constructed by the architect Leigh & Orange. It will not be until the early 1980s that an addition was made to the Grandstands with the Public Stand extension block.
- Construction of the Operations Building, c. 1978
The photo shows the nine-storey Operations Building under construction around 1978, with construction eventually completed in October of the same year. The Club commenced to build a new building in June 1977 for the Computerised Telebet Centre and staff canteen. The top floor of the Operations Building was connected to the ninth floor of the adjacent Administration Building via a walkway. With the relocation of Telebet services to the Sha Tin Racecourse, the Operations Building was converted into the Happy Valley Stand in 1995.
The low-rise building on the front left of the photo was the racecourse stables, with the Racing Laboratory on its top floor.
- The Administration Building – Former Jockey Club Headquarters, 1987
The tall building at the centre of the photo was the Administration Building, the former Jockey Club Headquarters. The 18-storey Administration Building was built in 1975. The ground floor was the car park, lobby and paddocks, with the first to eighth floors housing facilities and restaurants for Club Members, while the Club’s offices occupied the seven floors above the membership facilities. Air-conditioning plant room, lift machine room and generator room occupied the top three floors. Under the Happy Valley Re-development Project, the Administration Building was demolished in 1995 for widening the race track and a new Headquarters building was erected at its current site.
- Grandstands at the Happy Valley Racecourse, 1970s
The low rise building between Members Stand I and Public Stand I seen on the photo was where located a computer control room. This low rise building was later demolished to make way for the nine-storey Public Stand I Extension opened in 1981.
- Jockey Club Headquarters under construction, 1994
To have a safe track and widen bends, the Club widened the whole track by disposing of the sand track. At the northern end of the course, the Administration Building which housed the Happy Valley Clubhouse and Club's office were demolished and replaced by a new headquarters.
- Jockey Club Headquarters under construction, 1994
The new office building reached its full height of 16 floors and was allocated to Club's departments moving from the Administration Building and the Operations Building. The headquarters was officially opened by Club Chairman Sir John Swaine and Club Stewards on 6 February 1995.
