The Happy Valley Racecourse, 1969

A view of the Happy Valley Racecourse in 1969; from left to right, the five blocks are the Public Stand II and I, Members Stand I, II, and III. These five buildings were built between 1955 and 1968; four of the five buildings were constructed by the architect Leigh & Orange. It will not be until the early 1980s that an addition was made to the Grandstands with the Public Stand extension block.
