Prop Sword Used in The Bride with White Hair

The sword’s straight and symmetrical blade represents the age-old virtues of grace, uprightness and justice. Thus, swords symbolise the chivalrous spirit and is often paired with upright characters in martial arts legends and films. For example, Leslie Cheung who played Cheuk Yat Hong, the chief disciple of a virtuous martial arts sect, in The Bride with White Hair (1993) used a long sword as his weapon in the film.

This prop double-edged sword used in The Bride with White Hair (1993) has a perfectly straight and symmetrical blade.
