Ng Siu Kei was born in Nga Tsin Wai in 1946 and is a descendant of the 26th generation of Nga Tsin Wai’s Ng Clan, belonging to the Ng Chuen Fung Tso descent line under the fourth branch Ng Yat Un Tso. His family owned four houses in the walled village and he spent most of his early life in the ancestral house in 5th Lane. Both Ng Siu Kei’s grandfather and father had served as Village Headmen and managed the affairs of both the walled village and the ancestral trust. Having studied at Hong Kong Vernacular Normal School Alumni Association Primary School (“HKVNSAAPS”), Ng Siu Kei graduated from Lok Sin Tong Secondary School after completing his Form 5 education. In 1965, he joined Cathy Pacific Airways (“CX”) as a ground staff member eventually leaving to start running a business with in partnership with his friends in the mid-1980s. Ng Siu Kei started a family in the mid 1970s and subsequently moved out of Nga Tsin Wai to live in Kowloon Walled City and a public housing estate in Shatin. Since his father passed away in 1979, Ng Siu Kei had not involved in the affairs of the ancestral trust or the walled village. It was not until 2006 that Ng Chi Wing became Village Headman and invited him to join the Nga Tsin Wai Village Committee. Two years later, Ng Siu Kei became the Chief Executive of Ng Shing Tat Tso. He continues to play an active role in the affairs of the walled village and ancestral trust to this day.
