Ng Chuen Kung (CK Ng) was born in Lai Chi Yuen, Tung Tau Village. As the 25th generation descendant of the Ng Clan in Nga Tsin Wai, he belonged to the branch of Ng Sz Ko Tso. His grandfather's generation already moved out of Nga Tsin Wai and built a large house of thousands of square feet outside the village. CK Ng spent his childhood in a traditional village, and his life in Tung Tau Village and Sha Po Village were still fresh in his memory. His schooling started at a home school in Sha Po Village when he was five. Then he graduated from Longjin Free School and Tao Kwan School. Upon Hong Kong's fall, he went to mainland China for a living. During the Japanese rule, the authorities requisitioned a portion of his family's farmland and ancestral house for the expansion of Kai Tak Airport. As peace was restored, he went into the construction business. He rented the farmland in Wong Tai Sin and Diamond Hill and built cabins for sale. He closed the business down as the Squatter Control Unit took control. Since then he had run a contracting company until he retired in the mid-1990s.
