Vitasoy International Group Limited was founded in 1940. Its founder Mr. K.S. Lo established a factory in Causeway Bay, Hong Kong, to produce a soy drink under the brand “Vitasoy”. The company’s goal was to “produce a drink for the Hong Kong public that can replace fresh milk and was sold at a price accessible to everyone”. The company set up an exhibition booth at the 10th Exhibition of Hong Kong Products (1952-1953) to sell warm “Vitasoy” and “Green Spot” orange juice. Above the booth was a large sign board featuring the eye-catching names and logos of “Green Spot” and “Vitasoy”. At the 27th Exhibition of Hong Kong Products (1969-1970), Vitasoy was the Champion in the booth decoration contest.
