About the Collection

Materials for this collection largely come from the exhibition From Soya Bean Milk To Pu'er Tea, held at the Flagstaff House Museum of Tea Ware from October 2014 to November 2015. Around 80 sets of tea ware, dating from the Ming, Qing dynasties and modern times, were chosen from the Museum's collection for display. As these tea wares were donated by Dr K.S. Lo, founder of the Vitasoy Group, which had attributed to the founding of the Museum, images of Vitasoy were also displayed, to help readers recollect memories of the olden times, and look back on Dr Lo's contribution to Hong Kong.

Through the photographs, videos and texts made available at this collection, readers can also appreciate the tradition of Chinese tea culture and the craft of tea wares, and have an understanding of the role of the Flagstaff House Museum of Tea Ware in the promotion of tea drinking in Hong Kong.
