This section focuses on an interview with battery industry veteran Lo Lei Wo who worked in Hing Wah Battery Factory (Hing Wah) for 20 years. He subsequently went on to co-found the National Battery Factory (National Battery) with his former workmates in the 1970s. During his interview, Lo Lei Wo talked about the development of Hong Kong’s battery industry between the post-war era of the mid-1940s to the 1980s, outlining major factories, products and external factors that affected the industry.
