Radio Dramas

Early radio dramas were mostly in the form of solo storytelling, with a single actor playing the roles of several characters. Leading actors included Lee Ngaw, Tang Kee Chan and Chung Wai Ming. Radio dramas involving a group of actors became popular in the late 1950s, and reached their heyday in the 1970s. Performers used a variety of props to create sound effects to dramatise their stories.
