Stephen Gan Fock Wai, the heir to Hoe Hin Pak Fah Yeow Manufactory Ltd., was born in Hong Kong in 1961. He was educated at Rosaryhill Kindergarten, Rosaryhill Primary School, and later Wah Yan College and St. Margaret’s College. In 1978, he left for the UK, where he finished his matriculation course and subsequently completed a degree in Food Process Engineering at Loughborough University. After Graduated in 1984, he returned to Hong Kong and worked as a Technical Sale for the Diethelm Keller Siber Hegner, before joining Hoe Hin Pak Fah Yeow Manufactory Ltd. in early 1986. He was initially involved in developing the ‘Pak Fah’ throat lozenge. In 1991, he assisted with reforming Hoe Hin and making it a publicly listed company. He is now the Executive Director of White Flower International Co. Ltd. Over the years, he has accumulated experience in devising market strategy for Hoe Hin’s, company image and brand identity. In addition, he has taken part in managing the company’s capital, developing new investment projects as well as promoting environmentally friendly and socially responsible corporate practices.
