Launching ceremony for oil tanker Cree (4)
At 280 feet in length the largest oil tanker to have been built in Hong Kong at that time, the Cree is launched at Whampoa Dock on 26 September 1969. The bottle-breaking ceremony for the Cree is presided over by the wife of the Managing Director of Shell Eastern Petroleum Ltd, Singapore.
