A picture for the 5th anniversary of New Generation was taken in 1979. (Back centre) Eric Ng; (Front from left) Raymond Ng, Cheung Man Sun, Blanche Tang, Elizabeth Tam, Candice Chan, Candy Chea, Deborah Mak, Albert Au. New Generation first broadcasted from 1974 and was much beloved by the youths. This programme started the trend radio programmes hosted by disc jockeys (or ‘DJs’), leading to the DJ phenomenon of that period, and was regarded as the training ground of DJs.
