Anita Mui long hem cheongsam with turquoise tubular sequins and gauze face mask decorated with black feather

Designed by Eddie Lau, Anita wore this costume when she sang Manjusaka during the 'Anita Mui in Concert' in 1987-1988. Decorated with black feathers, the gauze mask partly obscured, partly revealed the face to convey a sense of secrecy. The hem of the cheongsam was long, full and grand, while the turquoise tubular sequins sewn onto the dress resembled stars shining in the darkness, matching the starry night that forms the backdrop of the lyrics.
