'KAI' collection (1)

Eddie Lau began his collaboration with Chinese Arts and Crafts (H.K.) Ltd. in 1984 and went on to launch fashion collections for it every year. The main highlight of the 1984 'KAI' Fall/Winter collection was a couture evening gown, which featured the clever application of three-dimensional cutting and high-end bead tubes sewn onto geometrically formed satin. With the bead tubes also used to create different textures, this was a sophisticated design with a tasteful and elegant profile.
