Hong Kong Hotel, Central District
The Hong Kong Hotel was built in 1867 on what is now the site of the Landmark. It was six storeys high and one of the tallest buildings at the time in Hong Kong. It was famed for being the first to install a lift. It was badly damaged by fire on New Year's Eve 1926 and demolished a few years later.
