View of Des Voeux Road Central between the Hongkong and Shanghai Bank Building and Ice House Street, Central District

This postcard was taken in the early 1900s, near the completion of the praya reclamation work, but before 1904 as the tram lines do not yet appear in the postcard. The Hongkong and Shanghai Bank Building stands on the left. The building at the corner of Ice House Street was demolished in 1905 to make way for the Bank of Holland.
