Tin Hau Festival

All types of craft decorated with colourful pennants head for Joss House Bay on the occasion of the Tin Hau Festival. Tin Hau is Goddess of the Sea and the patron saint of fishermen. While there are temples erected all over Hong Kong in her honour, the most important of these temples is located at Joss House Bay. The Tin Hau Festival takes place in March of the lunar calendar.
