Liu Ying Fung Study Hall (Ming Tak Tong), Sheung Shui

Liu Ying Fung Study Hall is also called Ming Tak Tong. It is in Tai Yuen Tsuen of Sheung Shui, behind Liu Ying Long Study Hall. Ying-long and Ying-fung were twin brothers in Liu clan. Ying-long was associated with the eastern ward and Ying-fung the western ward. The two study halls were built by their descendants to commemorate them. Ming Tak Study Hall was built in the 8th year of Daoguang's reign (1828). In the past, it was a place for clansmen to study. Now it is mainly for gatherings and meetings.
