Lam Tin Estate

Bamboo poles and washing decorate this housing block at the Lam Tin Estate. According to residents, when the estate was being built, workers were one morning confronted by a huge snake at the site, which was formerly a cemetery. They killed it, but yet another was spotted the next morning. So the workers decided to erect a dragon to keep the snakes away.
