Stanley

Many years ago, Stanley was merely a little fishing village in the southern part of Hong Kong Island and local Chinese relied on the sea for a Living. Ever since Qing Dyansty, Stanley has already been a place accommodating both the Chinese and the Western people. In 1841, the No. 2 issue of the Government Gazette described Stanley as the capital of the island with a population of 2000 and that showed its importance. Nowadays, Stanley has still preserved the traditional colour of its small fishing village on the one hand and the strong European passion on the other.
