North Point Estate

North Point Estate was the first public housing estate built by the Hong Kong Housing Authority. It was completed in November 1957 and, for a while, it enjoyed the reputation of being one of the most impressive construction schemes in Asia and the most 'luxurious' public housing estate. The total area of the estate was 27,900 square metres, with more than 1,900 units. North Point Estate was demolished for redevelopment in 2003.
