Printing Factory for Thomas De La Rue (Hong Kong) Ltd., Tai Po

As security printers (printers of bank notes and other security documents) the building has to provide a temperature and humidity controlled environment for the printing processes and for the storage of paper as well as for a very high degree of security. For a high security building, window openings have been kept to a minimum. This project received the Hong Kong Institute of Architects Design Merit Award in 1986.
