The gate of Kat Hing Wai, Kam Tin, Yuen Long

When in 1899, the British took over the lease of the New Territories, the villagers quite naturally locked the gates. This was not considered a cooperative move so the British attacked the village and removed the gates. The gates were restored in their original place in 1925.
