Looking west from Wellington Street near D'Aguilar Street, Central District

The belfries of the first Roman Catholic Church (The Hong Kong Catholic Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception) are seen on the left. Bricks were used for its external decorations, and granite for the steps and walls. The Church was demolished in 1888 when the site of worship was transferred to the newly-built Cathedral above Caine Road.
