Aerial view of Nga Ying Chau and Tsing Yi

Nga Ying Chau in the foreground was an island off the northeast shore of Tsing Yi (in the background). The island became part of Tsing Yi due to reclamation in the 1980s. China Resources Oil Storage Depot on Nga Ying Chau was redeveloped into the present-day Villa Esplanada in the 1990s.
