Aircraft landing approach to Sha Tin Airfield

Sha Tin Airfield was built in 1949 for the use by the British Royal Air Force. The airfield was destroyed by Typhoon Wanda in 1962 and was redeveloped as part of the New Town project for Sha Tin in the early 1970s. Ma On Shan can be seen on the right.
