Tiger Balm Garden, Tai Hang
With his donor by his side, the Maitreya Buddha sits happily in a grotto, protected from the elements. The cloth he holds is a reminder of his symbolic colour, which is red, the colour of passion, and it denotes Maitreya's compassionate nature. Maitreya's long ear lobes indicate wisdom.
