Pokfulam

The Pokfulam Village has existed since the colonial period, with the first reservoir (the Pokfulam Reservoir) in Hong Kong built on the hill above the village. At present, the Queen Mary Hospital is built in this area. Below the hospital is the Christian Cemetary, and below the cemetary is the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals's Coffin Home and convalescent. Other medical centres are found near the coast on Victoria Road, like the John F. Kennedy Centre and Convalescent, the Margaret Church Red Cross School, the Rescource Centre for Disabled Children, the Duchess of Kent Children's Hospital (built in 1968), the Maclehose Medical Rehabilitation Centre, the Rotary Rehabaid Centre for Children, the Hong Kong Society for Rehabilitation and the Chuk Lam Ming Tong Care and Attention Home for the Aged (built in 1989).
