Hong Kong Stadium

The South China Athletic Association was established in 1916. Since then, sports activities for the Chinese have flourished. In the early days, the major sport was soccer, and the Hong Kong Football Association was established in 1914, (it's prime time was during the 60's). The Hong Kong Stadium at So Kon Po was built in 1955. It has a stand that can hold 28,000 spectators. The stand was redeveloped to hold 40,000 to 50,000 spectators in 1993.
