Fenwick Street, Wan Chai

In the early years, the area near Fenwick Street and Tonnochy Road was filled with bars and ballrooms because there were sailors' hostels, navy clubs and a nearby pier for the navy. During the Korean War and the Vietnamese War, Hong Kong became a rest and recreation port for the American navy. Nowadays, Wanchai has become a newly developed commercial area.
