New Tales of the Flying Fox is a film adaptation of Jin Yong's martial arts novel The Young Flying Fox, directed by Liu Shih Yu and starring Chen Szu Chia, Hui Ying Hung, Alex Man Chi Leung, Felix Wong Yat Wa, Ku Kwun Chung, Tai Pei Ling, etc. The film was produced by Shaw Brothers (Hong Kong) Limited and released in 1984. Shaw Brothers also produced another film adaptation of Jin Yong's martial arts novel The Young Flying Fox, Legend of the Fox, which was released in 1980.
